Salt Deposition Removal


SDR-2100 is a one step proprietary blend designed specifically for the removal of salt deposits. Its unique qualities separate it from other removal techniques used in the industry that require a low chloride fluid with turbulent flow to wash away the salt.

SDR-2100 is designed to remove salt deposits in a minimal amount of time at low or high temperatures just by spotting it across the salt deposit and allowing it to soak.

SDR-2100 is an excellent product for annular applications for the removal of salt bridges that are known to have growth around the tubular goods making it almost impossible to pull or retrieve the pipe.

SDR-2100 has been designed to work in an optimum time of as little as 4 to 6 hours in environments with low bottom hole temperatures where thermals are not adequate enough to aid in a sufficient removal of salt build-up. SDR-2100 can be used in smaller quantities to remove salt build-up, thus not having to risk the loss of tremendous amounts of fluids to the formation that can cause relative permeability damage.

SDR-2100 can be used to circulate wells by pumping via the tubing or via the casing to remove salt deposition that may have accumulated in the near well-bore area and the pump area. This technique cleans and prepares the tubular goods prior to moving in workover rigs.

SDR-2100 is recommended at a volume of 2 to 5 times the casing volume of the net area to be treated. Samples should be obtained to determine that each individual well has the proper loading.
