Acid Gelling Agent

AG-401 is a highly effective HCL Gelling Agent that provides stable acid gel up to 150°F, and retards acid at temperatures up to 200°F.

AG-401 retards HCL for improved treatment and is compatible with all cationic and nonionic acidizing and stimulation additives and acid corrosion inhibitors.

AG-401 is designed for applications in acidizing and fracturing operations and gels HCL up to 38% and provides stable viscosities at temperature up to 150°F. In 15% HCL, viscosities of 50 to 60 cPs are economically produced.

AG-401 retards the spending of the acid resulting in increased penetration and treatment effectiveness.

AG-401 provides excellent suspension of fines and enhanced formation, and near well bore clean up during flow back.

Specific Gravity: 7.38

Appearance: Light Amber to Yellow Liquid

Solubility: Water & 15% HCL

pH: (10% Solution) 6.5-7.5

AG-401 is recommended at 10-50 gallons per 1,000 gallons depending on acid strength and other additives as well as viscosity. The gel will form immediately upon the addition of AG-401. It should be circulated to assure uniform mixing of the AG-401 to provide a consistent viscosity of the treatment fluid

AG-401 is available in 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums and 275 and 330 gallon totes.
