Problem: This well is a salt water injection the pressure has been steadily increasing over time. Recommendation-ISR-1100 Series is an anionic surfactant package that is low in pH and is designed to break iron sulfide down into small particulates, making for easier removal when flowing back. Also AS-2200, PA-100, IRA-50 and 5% HCL which was added to the ISR-1100 packages.

Injection Estimates Prior to Acid Treatment: Injection Rate- 8.1 Bpm at 1875 Psi—11K bbls/day

MGM Northstar provided and pumped the following system as outlined below:

1. Treated down the tubing

2. Spearhead with 43 barrels of 2% KCl containing 3.5 #/bbl of Calcium Hyper-Chlorite/ 13 gallons of AS-2200

3. Spacer 126 gallons Aurora Gel

4. 1000 gallons 5% HCL/ 50 gallons ISR-1100/ 25 gallons of PA-100/ 10 gallons AS-2200/ 4 gallons CI-310/ 4 gallons IRA-50

5. Spacer 126 gallons Aurora Gel

6. 1000 gallons 5% HCL/ 50 gallons ISR-1100/ 25 gallons of PA-100/ 10 gallons AS-2200/ 4 gallons CI-310/ 4 gallons IRA-50

7. Spacer 126 gallons Aurora Gel

8. Flush with 43 barrels of 2% KCl containing 3.5 #/bbl of Calcium Hyper-Chlorite/ 13 gallons of AS-2200

9. Diverter/Spacer 220 gallons Aurora Gel

10. 2000 gallons 5% HCL/ 100 gallons ISR-1100/ 50 gallons of PA-100/ 13 gallons AS-2200/ 8 gallons CI-310/ 8 gallons IRA-50

*Upon completion shut well in overnight and start disposal operation.

Results:

The well can inject at TRRC permitted max rate which is 2500 psi / 20K bbls/day. 13.8 Bpm at 2300 Psi

Summary:

ISR-1100 Series delivers superior water wetting characteristics in both carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. The result is a more efficient stimulation, with residual wetting, that enhances the performance and life of an oil or gas well and its longevity. Volumes may change based on the severity of the damage and desired penetration in and into the formation. It is also suggested that samples be taken when possible as to ensure the most optimum performance and cost effectiveness.

AS-2200 is excellent in the penetration and breaking of existing sludge created by previous stimulations.

AS-2200 delivers superior water wetting characteristics in both carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. The result is a more efficient stimulation, with residual wetting, that enhances the performance and life of an oil or gas well and its longevity.

PA-100 Series enhances aromatic solvents, diesel, condensates, and crude oils by increasing their abilities to penetrate and solubilize heavy hydrocarbons during the removal process without the fear of re-deposition, or by having upset production facilities.

PA-100 Series also delivers versatility as a co-solvent, which makes it miscible in both H2O and oil, with excellent water wetting capabilities and emulsion breakers.

IRA-50 is an iron reducing agent used in acidizing or low pH fluids to control solubilized iron in the presence of asphaltene, thus reducing the risk of iron/asphaltene induced sludge.
